Amber Irene resides in New York City with her partner and their two cats. When she is not writing, she can be found wandering through bookshops, sipping on coffee, or reading books. She gravitates toward stories rooted in perseverance and in finding love in the darkest of places. Her inspiration for writing began with her own journey, which taught her the power of resilience and the beauty of healing.

She has spent close to a decade as a special education teacher in Washington Heights, the neighborhood that raised her. Her work in the classroom fuels her belief that being born different does not limit your ability. It strengthens it. As a writer, she brings that same conviction to every story she tells. She also cries whenever an underdog rises, most recently during Tanjiro and Tengen’s fight against Gyutaro in the Entertainment District arc. Naruto and All Might still hold the record for past tears though.
